I am an aquatic ecologist with two decades in aquatic sciences and 15 years in NRM consulting. I have successfully delivered projects across numerous industries and sectors including natural resource and conservation management, mining, energy and resources, offshore oil and gas, defence, roads, rail and ports, water and wastewater management and aquaculture. I have provided project management and technical input into a broad range of aquatic projects including the design and implementation of marine and freshwater aquatic fauna surveys and monitoring programs both in Australia and Papua New Guinea, impact and risk assessments, EP/EMPs, OSMPs, environmental audits, referrals, planning and permitting.I bring a diverse range of sampling and monitoring methodology experience including aquatic flora and fauna assessments, biological, chemical and water quality monitoring and mapping, and the utilisation of these to determine biodiversity and waterway condition. I am a certified senior backpack electrofisher operator and have conducted aquatic fauna surveys using a wide range of sampling and monitoring techniques such as fyke, seine and dip netting, bait trapping call play-back and underwater survey and collection by SCUBA and snorkelling.
