As a member of the Structured Finance Group of Zions Bank, I analyzed existing credits, provided ongoing maintenance for an existing portfolio, and assisted in underwriting new corporate credits. Our group specialized in participation loans for a highly diverse portfolio of industries. These loans were created with a variety of financial instruments including revolving lines of credit, term loans, and several others. I worked on a team of three, learning important decision-making skills from my experienced associates through team meetings and constant collaboration.

Responsibility for managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. The primary objective was to accurately assess the risk associated with all loans and to write up a full analysis to be submitted to credit administration for approval. The position included the opportunity to work with a team of officers and analysts in order to properly understand the status of the loans and to accurately grade them according to government regulation.

In depth credit analysis to determine the financial strength of commercial real estate loans. The primary functions of this position included cash flow analysis, financial statement analysis, determination of the probability of default, and determination of the strength of collateral. Additional responsibilities included developing a relationship with clients and asking the right questions in order to accurately determine the status of the loan.
