I started here as a general machine operator in 2002. Began working on various machines such as full can palletizers, label machines and case packers. I participated in various courses including Inventory Accuracy and lean manufacturing, learning and working my way up gradually to be a lead in the packaging department. After taking more courses in leadership essentials through Purdue, I was promoted to warehouse supervisor in May of 2012

Provide daily guidance and leadership to a team of 21 packaging employees to ensure quality standards are achieved and daily goals are met .Use team building skills and constructive criticism to maximize the performance of packaging crews.Lead and participate in various continuous improvement projects throughout the plant eliminating waste.Train new and current department members on all shifts in basic job skills, along with proper use of materials and equipment. Train 25-50 seasonal employees in their proper job duties including, machine operation, safety regulations, LOTO, and company quality standards.Monitor downtime and hourly efficiencies through the use of panel views and physical observation. Conduct random audits of inventory and suppliesTrouble shoot mechanical and software/hardware issues with all machines in the department.Communicate problems/solutions between multiple departments. In the event of absences be able to cover any machine operator position and perform required duties when needed. Give meetings explaining goals for the department concerning quality, safety and productivity.
