My name is Aaron Karlson and I am an animator living in Florida. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, I have created motion graphics, 2D puppet, and 3D character animations. Students spend weeks 5-15 of the semester doing a deep-dive of character animation using a production-level character rig. Projects include acting exercises, pose demos, advanced motion, and a final multi-shot story-based film. -DIG4354 3D Character Animation: Students spend the semester working on 4 demo reel projects that include character acting, 2 character dialogue shots, cartoony animation, and participation in the 11 Second Club animation competition for the month of November. Students have achieved as high as 18 out of 195 entries in this competition. -DIG4970 Senior Project in Digital Arts and Sciences: Animation. Senior students are tasked with developing the concept creation, production management, and animation of a 2D or 3D animated film in 16 weeks. As a capstone project required for graduation, students in this course aim to develop films that will help them achieve placement in film-festivals and/or employment at animation students. Student work from this class has been featured in the Florida Animation Film Festival
