I spent the beginning of my Civil Engineering career working in the Telecommunicaitons industry where projects move fast so critical and thorough coordination is key to being successful. This environment enabled me to hone my skills of permitting and coordination and sharpened my Project Managment skills. Eventually I was selected to launch a new office in Nashville, TN and grew to manage a team of 5 engineers and the day-to-day of coordinating with clients, utility companies, and jurisdictions to deploy telecom infrastructure throughout Middle TN and the surrounding states. I also managed the financial side of the work that came through my office and maintained communication with my supervisors on fiscal expectations. I have since transitioned to the civil site development industry and it has been an excellent change for my career. This industry moves slower but offers much more of a challenge and keeps me engaged, and having developed project management skills has allowed me to settle in nicely. My position allows me to take on various engineering tasks and so I am blessed with endless opportunities to design and learn. I am a problem solver at heart and will do whatever I can to meet the needs of a client, and I am always happy to take on a new project!
