I held multiple roles during my military service career. Highlights of my time in service are as follows; While stationed at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado I led a 9-member team of military and civilians responsible for accounting, financial reporting and executing $234mm annual budget. I was recognized as the Comptrollership and Financial Management Officer of the Year (‘11), #1 out of 12 national finance organizations. I was also stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia where I led 41 budget analysts located across 17 states responsible for $323mm portfolio supporting 3,297 military, civilians and contractors in 7 countries. My team and I leveraged functional and technical experience to provide actionable recommendations to senior management. I also served as Chief Financial Strategist in Kabul, Afghanistan. I was responsible for formulating the Afghanistan war portfolio worth $6.9bn by identifying key stakeholders and balancing requirements. My team and I established a process to recoup $706.7mm taxpayer dollars from non-U.S. Coalition Partners satisfying Army Audit Agency findings.
