I moved to Mount Desert Island in the summer of 2010 while on break from Berklee. I loved the place so much, I put school aside to move right into Bar Harbor and set up shop. Once here, I began recording the lives of locals, college folk, and the ebb and flow of the tourist bonanza. From here, I've been able to pursue my passion for live, raw, 35mm photography. I moved across Door Mountain that winter into Otter Creek, where I first learned to develop the photos in the home-made darkroom upstairs, myself and 3 other photographer roommates. Since then, I've continued to collect and take photographic notes on life in the Northeastern-most pocket of the United States.

I traveled around the hidden parts of an already shrouded coastal region with a pen and a pad of paper. I wrote articles, took photos, and once I covered a non-profit lighthouse keeper, on an island, in the dead of winter. That was the best job.
