I am an extremely driven individual with a passion for self-improvement. In the beginning of my professional career, something I often heard that really resonated with me was that “every day is a school day”. As I continue in my professional development, I understand more and more just how accurate that was. My career to date has been predominantly based in mechanical engineering within the role of procurement, for both commercial and defence aerospace. This has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of the challenges and pressures associated with this sector of manufacturing. In my role I take a keen interest in continuous improvement relating to operational procedures throughout the workplace, and as a result have participated in further training including Six Sigma and Kaizen to facilitate my efforts for continuous improvement.My career aspirations for the future are to further develop as an individual and move into a consultancy role where I feel my strength as a good communicator, as well as my professional experiences, could benefit many companies in improving their operations. I have a particular interest in ESG and could definitely see myself moving into that field in the future.I am currently studying towards an MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management and upon completion will become an MCIPS member.
