I'm currently focused on growing the API business at Hurdlr, an embedded small business accounting platform that provides the tools and infrastructure for Vertical SaaS, banks, and other SMB providers to solve accounting for their customers.Previously I held senior sales positions at two B2B fintech startups, where I learned the importance of building flexible, extensible products to solve customer needs. In my spare time I also started a tax and accounting practice, Lesher Tax Services, which offers advisory, planning, preparation, and bookkeeping services to solopreneurs and small business owners, consistently growing 30-40% YoY.In my 8+ years working with fintech software and business owners to solve their accounting pain points, I saw two chronic problems:1) Most B2B software isn't inherently flexible and customizable, and therefore cannot effectively address the wide variety of use cases its creators didn't envision.2) Accounting software has lagged far behind other products as far as usability and integration into the rest of a business' core stack.I believe Hurdlr is uniquely positioned to address both of these problems. To date, over 1.2M SMBs have tracked over $8B in finances with Hurdlr, providing invaluable insights that allow us to fast-track our partners' development of their own accounting products and tools.
