Lead integrated marketing and insights teams for BENlabs, an entertainment marketing company owned by Bill Gates. I was tapped to lead the company’s marketing and insights teams after a major restructuring, serving on an executive leadership team that has immediately turned around the company’s performance and returned the business to profitability. Responsibilities include: Reshaping our brand narrative and messaging, leading insights and measurement for client campaigns, developing and implementing high-impact creative ideas that have led to a dramatic increase in our sales pipeline, managing PR campaigns and crisis communications efforts, and helping shape overall company business strategy.

Led the marketing and insights teams for the brand integration business within BENlabs. Responsible for: driving innovation around our business offerings and the application of AI to solve critical business challenges within our industry; bringing in and closing new business through events, social media and digital marketing campaigns; strengthening our leadership position and the overall awareness of our key differentiators through thought leadership and strategic communications; and, using insights to measure and improve the effectiveness of client entertainment marketing campaigns.

Manage BEN's strategy and insights team, focused on driving new insights into consumer behavior on streaming and social media platforms, improving the targeting and impact of client campaigns, guiding the company's thought leadership in the advertising and entertainment field, and analyzing BEN's competitive landscape.

Managed the Insights and Integration team, with primary responsibility for developing and driving overall strategic direction for corporate responsibility at The Walt Disney Company, including the creation of measurable citizenship goals and commitments; conducting research to better understand consumer, stakeholder and employee expectations and perceptions; developing branded campaigns for engaging consumers on social and environmental causes; and leading the Company's ESG reporting, stakeholder engagement, citizenship communications, and risk management efforts.

Led the Environmental Strategy team, with responsibility for developing initiatives to minimize The Walt Disney Company's environmental impacts and inspire environmental responsibility in others. In this position, I was particularly focused on developing innovative consumer engagement programs that inspired children and families to reduce their own environmental impact.

Managed and led the development of international strategic brand programs, including the creation of brand strategy, brand architecture, interactive strategy, naming and visual identity systems. Clients included Yahoo!, Sony PlayStation, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Microsoft, McAfee, Amgen, Experian, and Port of Long Beach, among others.

Served as client partner while directing multiple projects, supervising creative and account teams, and developing marketing plans and strategies for nonprofit clients including charitable foundations, hospitals, educational institutions, and national advocacy groups.

Helped conceive of and produce the Guide, a start-up nonprofit venture that was sold to Co-Op America. Co-directed development of overall business strategy and marketing materials, supervised new business development and advertising sales, and established distribution relationships with local retailers.

Directed the Environmental Change and Security Project’s (ECSP) activities on environmental issues in China. Managed all aspects of a two-year policy forum with over 40 specialists, edited an annual publication, and fundraised entire operating costs for China-related activities.
