Responsible for the management of licensing activity for a book publisher that specializes in video game strategy guides, art collections, and "making of" books. Acquired rights for over 500 AAA interactive video game properties in a highly competitive licensing environment. Duties included forecasting, financial analysis, pitching development teams and publishers, and contract negotiation. Strong relationships with licensing and business development groups at almost every video game publishing company.

Inspired by my cousin Tim's decision to run for Congress in Arizona's 2nd Congressional District, I left my job to move to Tucson and help him, eventually assuming the role of Campaign Manager. I spent the following couple of years working in various political jobs, running a field campaign office in Arizona, and then doing grassroots lobbying for a firm in Sacramento.

Responsible for building strategic referral relationships with other businesses in the sports and automotive sectors for a retailer specializing in auto rack and towing equipment. Responsible for all partner marketing activities for a dozen stores in Sacramento, Seattle, and Salt Lake City.

Designed a live video broadcast solution for a fledgling comedy radio network staffed by professional comedians including Bobby Slayton, Sue Murphy, Alan Havey, Craig Shoemaker, and Sandra Bernhard. Hired and supervised 12-person team to produce live video versions of the shows to stream online.

Managed sales and marketing efforts for Play's line of video-based personal computing accessories. Responsible for half of the national accounts, including Fry's, Tiger Direct, Best Buy, etc. Later transitioned into consumer marketing for Play's professional-grade video production tools, demonstrating them online and at trade events all over the world.
