I was raised in Woodinville, WA, and recall taking the “back way” into town around a large field populated with horses. Now that field is the core of downtown Woodinville with a host of stores and restaurants. While there’s an element of lost nostalgia, it’s also indicative of the economic boom our region has experienced, and as a lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, I’ve enjoyed participating in that growth. I’ve been a firsthand witness to the growth of several local public companies and countless family-owned businesses. Having run my own financial services business for five years, I have deep respect for the business leaders and entrepreneurs who’ve been behind our region’s success. It’s this admiration coupled with my entrepreneurial experience that forms the focus of my practice, serving the unique needs of executives and business owners.I joined Bernstein in 2010 after seven years in financial services and recognizing a shortfall in how our industry serves those who are uniquely successful. Wealth management is predominantly focused on helping investors to answer the question, “Will I be okay?” and too often that question is answered with product sales and/or managing money in a fragmented and inefficient manner. I’ve found that business leaders, while often successful, are burdened with a much deeper question, “What am I missing?”Learning the unique story behind each person I serve and helping them achieve their goals is what makes me passionate about my work.On the weekends, you’ll find me spending time with my family, golfing, playing soccer, climbing a mountain, or enjoying a fine cigar.
