My role in Analytical Development is to develop or transfer analytical methods for clients in R&D as they ready their process for GMP. Common techniques are HPLC or capillary electrophoresis separations, ELISA or label-free BLI assays. My work supports the process development teams to acquire data useful for making process decisions.

As an Applications Manager, I focus on small molecule applications with the ForteBio Octet and Pioneer label-free platforms. I participate in collaborations to develop new applications areas for the ForteBio instruments and ensure that existing application methods are current.

As Senior Principal Scientist at SensiQ Technologies, I have:• Overseen the application science team in all technical aspects.• Developed new technical applications for SPR equipment with internal scientists and key collaborators in pharmaceutical industry.• Worked with SensíQ core group to invent and develop new technologies for use in our existing and future instruments.• Performed contract research for pharma/biotech clients to provide high quality kinetic and affinity data in support of their interests.

As an Application Scientist at ICx Nomadics, I have:- Extensive experience with SPR assay development of hundreds of interactions, involving assays with antibody – antigen, protein – protein, inhibitor/drug – enzyme, peptides and nucleic acids.- Participated in numerous on-site demonstrations of SPR technology where on-the-fly assay development was necessary to ensure a successful technical demonstration.- Interfaced with the Engineering dept. to establish quality control standards for SPR instruments.- Experience in surface chemistry, bio-conjugation, customer technical support and instrument design.
