Former Survey Technician for Guida Surveying Inc. from December 2021- December 2022:-Survey Technician-Contacting clients such as local governments and private contractors-Data processing-AutoCAD map digitization-Research and creation of data packages-Record keeping of physical and digital files-Organizing company equipment/warehouseI am a graduate of California State University Long Beach. While there, I became the Vice President (2016-2017) and then President of the California State University Long Beach Geography Student Association (2017-2018): Activities included managing club events, recruiting new members, invite guest speakers, and facilitating off campus activities i.e. field trips to ESRI, a company involved with the geography department. Ultimately, my vision for the future is to become a city planner.I am interested in acquiring a position as a GIS specialist in a planning commission department. I have worked in fields that have skills that are utilized as a GIS specialist. Based on my experiences with analytical work, problem solving, and mapping, I believe I can make a great contribution to your team.I have gained seven years of experience of working with Google Maps, Google Earth, and other map related websites. I have had additional experience working firsthand with GIS mapping technology. On top of that, I have had significant experience in environmental research and conservation as an assistant for a natural researcher in the Audubon society. Much of my studies revolved around species conservation and habitat mapping. In my years there, I have made contributions in mapping out natural surroundings, species movements, and ecological changes. I am looking forward to a career in this area. I know I can greatly contribute to the field. I strongly believe that I have the qualifications for this field.
