2019-2020 (20e) and 2021-2022 (22e): Aerodynamics and Composites Manager & Aerodynamic Simulation Lead- Perform CFD simulations in ANSYS Fluent and SimScale to design multi-element wings, undertray diffuser, and bodywork and determine aerodynamic properties of the car.- Oversee design of structural components of the aerodynamics system including rib and spar structures and carbon fiber layup schedules.- Organize processes for the manufacture of composite components of the racecar- Manage aerodynamics subystem leads by upholding design and manufacturing deadlines and offering assistance with technical problems.2018-2019 (19e): Aerodynamics and Composites Structures Engineer- Designed and prototyped pneumatic active aerodynamics system to improve efficiency in endurance event and performance in acceleration.- Assisted with carbon fiber layups of aerodynamic components and learned processes for composites manufacturing.- Won FSAE North Competition, placing 1st in all dynamic events

- Created molecular fluid dynamics simulation scripts with LAMMPS to find and compare thermodynamic properties of various water models. Properties collected were then used in nano-scale heat pipe simulation to determine evaporation behavior at the thin film meniscus of evaporator ridges.- Compared simulation results against Hertz-Knudsen-Schrage evaporation theory.

- Conducted parametric design studies with FEA frequency simulations on rover hull shape concepts- Analyzed simulation data in MATLAB to determine optimal hull geometries, battery placements, and wheel locations for expected vibrations under launch conditions .

- Added piping and electrical layers to floor layout in AutoCAD, and created new layout of refrigeration and ventilation equipment on roof- Collaborated with engineering team to design new automatic packing conveyor line, approximately doubling packing efficiency
