I worked both as a bartender and as a server. I got to further advance my customer service skills by interacting with people in a very different environment from one I'd worked in before. Mundane though this may seem, I got to learn a bit about how restaurants and bars function behind the scenes, and this gave me an opportunity to learn a bit more about bar and restaurant advertising specifically.

Landmark is a very young company that is doing a lot of growing and because of this employees wear many hats and help in any way they can. In my time with Landmark, I did a variety of jobs and learned a lot along the way. My main job was landscape installation, but I also helped at the nursery getting plants ready for sale, aside from this I also gave any help or advice I could to Mark and Kacy, the two owners, drawing on my many learned advertising and marketing skills from classes. It was an honor to get to help in getting this company, which I'd grown to think of as family, growing to nearly double the size in just one year. I learned a lot about the day to day workings and struggles of a small but growing business.

I worked in membership sales and customer service as well as managing our courtesy services department. For my role in membership sales and customer services, I handled almost every aspect of customer relations including but not limited to sales, billing concerns, and assisting in club events. In my other role as a department manager, I handled scheduling, job training, ordering of food, merchandise, and general supplies, as well as general management duties such as resolving conflicts between employees, scheduling and holding meetings and covering shifts in emergencies.
