Researching entrepreneurship psychology, generally concerned with how entrepreneurs overcome challenges inherent in the entrepreneurial process. Doctoral research is focused on early-stage entrepreneurs engaged in the process of starting companies, exploring how stress and coping are tied to decision making, and personal and entrepreneurial outcomes (e.g., resilience, competitiveness, innovation, etc).

Supporting a number of large-scale research projects in the United Kingdom involving visitor experiences festival and museum studies. Data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), reporting and write up of findings.

Conducted research in Washington State University’s neuroscience department. Awarded grant for own research through the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Research Program. Contributed to Dr. Michael Morgan's research on morphine tolerance and the role of the periaqueductal gray (PAG) in pain perception. Introduced a new experimental design to compare the effects of chronic vs acute pain on the development of morphine tolerance in a laboratory setting.

Served in the US military as a forward observer. Main activities in this role involve intelligence and fire support for maneuver brigades, pertaining to target positioning (artillery, air support, etc).
