Go Love Africa is a photography based 501c3 non-profit organization that travels to African nations once a year to spread love to people in extremely remote areas.The team(s) use technology and portable equipment to take professional-style portraits of people in remote African villages, and print out the photos through battery operated printers. They then give the photo(s) to the villager(s) - who, many times, has never owned a photo of himself/herself.Through the non-profit, Go Love Africa teams have printed more than 8,000 portraits, to date, and given them to people in extremely remote villages. Aaron has been integral in the leadership of each team.

Aaron does minor carpentry work such as installing baseboard, crown molding, doors, floor work (tile, hardwood) etc., while also learning major carpentry skills such as reframing entire homes, cabinet installation, fence installation, etc.Works mostly on homes affected by South Louisiana’s “Great Flood of 2016,” helping to get homeowners back into their homes after being evacuated due to the extreme weather event.

Aaron spent several years as the front-man of wedding/party band “Rewind,” entertaining up to 50,000 people during a performance as well as making announcements as the Master of Ceremonies.Aaron spent more than 1,100 hours singing and performing.He also controlled the band's social media accounts, opening their Twitter and Instagram pages and growing them to hundreds of followers.

As Editor, Williams was in charge of all editorial content at the weekly newspaper. He wrote articles, photographed and laid out pages every week as well as managed other writers and photographers. Responsibilities also included attending local municipal meetings and maintaining strong relationships with community members, government employees, and many others.Aaron helped grow the small town newspaper grow their circulation nearly 25%, from a circulation of 2,000 to about 2,500 during his tenure. He also vastly improved community relations and brought the newspaper to prominence, winning the LPA’s Newspaper of the Year four of his seven years at the company.

As a photographer for the Daily Reveille, Williams took photos around the LSU campus for news, features and sports articles.In 2007, he was the primary sports photographer for the paper, where he was able to photograph each LSU football home game and several away games. As the sports photographer, he also photographed track and field, softball, men's and women's basketball, swimming and diving, soccer, and gymnastics.

The Advocate created a special summer internship specifically for Aaron to utilize his talents and abilities throughout the entire newsroom. He was able to work, for at least two weeks, in nearly every section of the paper, including Metro, People, Sports, the Ascension Parish Bureau, and photography.In the Metro, Sports and photography sections, he reported/photographed under strenuous daily deadlines, while People and the Ascension Parish Bureau were at least weekly deadlines where he wrote and photographed.

As an intern at the Sun Herald, Williams utilized his first newsroom experience learning the craft and reported, mostly, on lifestyles-type news and features. After his internship ended, he continued working as a freelancer for the Sun Herald, where he wrote features and lifestyle articles.
