I am the regulatory supervisor for a team of Mortgage Advisors & Senior Mortgage Advisors.I am responsible for ensuring my team are capable of delivering fair outcomes for our customers and that regulation is adhered to whilst also building the capability of my team through coaching, T&C activity and regular CPD. My span of control covers a large geographical area covering all of England & Wales.

During November 2018 I was appointed into the role of Senior Personal Mortgage Advisor for the great work that I have done this year supporting my manager with the supervision of the team.The role still involves me fulfilling the regular duties of a Mortgage Advisor however I now also have responsibility for helping my Line Manager with the development of the team.

I am a Mortgage Advisor with NatWest; as you would expect in a highstreet bank, I work with a variety of clients, from young first time buyers to high earners earning in excess of £500,000 a year. I therefore consider myself to be excellent at dealing with a wide range of clientele. No matter who I am helping though the thing I enjoy most about my role is helping customers with what is likely to be the biggest financial decision of their life - finding and financing their home!In early 2018 I was selected by my Regional Director to study for the Supervisor Induction Programme based on the aptitude that I showed for leadership. I studied this during 2018 and passed my assessments in July 2018. This covers all of the necessary skills to be an effective supervisor i.e. risk mitigation (FABC, Heatmaps etc), T&C schemes (principle based framework), how to effectively develop our people through coaching and T&C activity etc - all of which I am now authorised to undertake. I hold CAS status and a Level Four Mortgage Qualification (Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice) meaning that my technical knowledge far exceeds the minimum standard held by most Mortgage Advisors. I have delivered 100% compliant results since joining NatWest and regularly provide compliance support to my peers meaning that not only do I excel at performance - I also deliver the right outcomes for our customers. I am currently fluctuating between 160% to 180% of my primary KPI which is submitting new business lending applications to increase our market share.
