I was fired as CEO from my first company. Why? Probably many reasons. Chief among them being we couldn’t figure out how to get customers predictably. 🔁 4 years later, I started another business. This one was acquired. It was mostly luck. And timing.We were at the right place at the right time.📉 A few years later I tried again. This one we wound down. Why? We were selling to the wrong customers - but it took us too long to figure that out.I wanted to learn how successful companies handled customer acquisition and strategy.I wound up building a new business unit inside an incredible founder-led company. I was able to experiment with every possible way to reach customers.But what I realized was that no matter the tactic, or tool - many of our best, fastest growing customers came through our CEO.
