I am an extrovert and integrator at heart, and I love developing leaders and amazing companies. I’m most inspired when I’m able bring teams together around an aligned mission and future, something I get to do each day as the CEO of an employee-owned company. I know I’m doing my job if everyone is rowing the same direction, people know their roles, and leaders feel supported and able to grow together. I’d rather focus on company core values, what we measure, who we hire, and how we’re learning as a company than push growth that is misguided or not sustainable. Of all my past jobs, I’m probably most grateful for being a management consultant because it taught me to work with executive teams across a wide variety of domains. That has been a game changer for me, as I’ve learned to embrace my own varied background and develop teams that know how to maximize diverse experiences. I firmly believe that’s where innovation happens. My favorite part of the job? Asking people what makes them tick, watching the company hit targets we’ve collectively set, and building executive teams that love working together.
