Operations Supervision: Monitor current and evolving economic, political, technical, and general environmental trends in keeping broadcast content relevant and timely. Collect and analyze data from dozens of sources daily to craft specific and accurate forecasts. Technical Management: Oversee the daily operations, performance, and analysis of Raycom’s weather computer technology, providing process improvements and implementation of state-of-the-art systems and enhancements. Supervised major conversion from Windows XP to Windows 7; led six beta-test software upgrade teams. Team Leadership: Serve as co-leader of the Raycom WSI user group; project manage user group for testing and evaluation of software and hardware prior to national station release. Lead weekly conference calls with end users to troubleshoot, identify, and problem solve all active bugs in the system and pass along workable solutions. Marketing: Produce and market content, graphics, and analytics for two TV stations, tucsonnewsnow.com website, and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Google+), achieving market share growth, expanded viewership, and increased partnerships with local businesses. Industry Subject Matter Expertise: Consult on weather computer technology with numerous stations across the country; set up systems and graphics and train staff/users on advanced techniques and best practices for weather graphics system.
