Conducted research and policy work with economists in the Money and Payments Studies function. Some notable policy projects I worked on include investigating the causes of the market events in September 2019 and determining the impact of the Money Market Liquidity Facility that was introduced by the Boston Fed in response to COVID-19.A major research project I worked on used data on all Fedwire transactions over 2018 to create a counterfactual scenario where a major US bank experiences a cyber security attack that prevents it from sending payments. From this analysis, we were able to make inferences on the spillover effect of this attack in the interbank payment network and the nature of the foregone payments if an event like this were to take place.
