Excelled as lead Asset Manager of a diversified portfolio of New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and Historic Tax Credit (HTC) investments for one of the nation’s leading tax credit investors and syndicators. • Promoted to Senior Asset Manager in April 2017 to manage business line’s riskiest and most complex tax credit investments. These investments presented increased risk to the company in the form of tax credit recapture, income loss, and/or negative publicity.• Negotiated and structured complex deal modifications to protect the bank’s economic interest and investment returns. Independently negotiated a workout settlement in December 2018 which preserved over $875,000 in future priority return income while generating $75,000 in fee income. • Reviewed and approved equity investments, construction draws, quarterly financial reporting, and pro-forma budgets for a portfolio of Historic Tax Credit Investments. These investments consist of mid-market commercial real estate projects including office, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use properties.• Communicated key credit risks to senior risk officers within bank to ensure investments were appropriately risk rated. Independently prepared high quality credit presentations which addressed risks and mitigants in a simple and concise manner. • Mentored a junior colleague by providing guidance and career coaching in the areas of business acumen, communication skills, networking, and process improvement.
