I'm an engineer and people manager with extensive experience in Detailed Design, Development and Project Management. I've a proven track record of delivering large scale/high value projects from conception to reality on time and within budget. I invest heavily in my work, and effectively lead others by example. Never content with the status quo, I'm always up for a challenge and always looking to develop new skills. I take pride in achievement but not at the expense of the team. At a corporate level, I've been officially recognised as a high achiever, at university I topped my graduating year. A keen sportsman and a larrakin by nature, I enjoying working with others. I've always possessed a keen eye for detail: through experience I've learned to balance this within the cost, quality & time triangle. What I do:+ Manage engineering projects of from cradle to grave (project investment: ~$5 million).+ Design high value products to meet stringent performance and manufacturing requirements (volumes: ~50,000+ units/yr).+ Liaise efficiently within a cross functional matrix structure (marketing, procurement, finance, manufacturing, etc) + Identify, develop and manage new suppliers locally and abroad.+ Support sales activitiesProficiencies:

Principal Leader, Design & EngineeringAluminium Industries Feb 2018 - Jul 2024Melbourne, AustraliaI joined Aluminium Industries subsidiary company Comtruk, after being head-hunted to lead the design of an all-new product offering in the after-market automotive space and breath new life into an aging brand. Together with a team of engineers I assembled to undertake a clean sheet design, we were able to design, develop, and validate a high unit value ($5-10k) product and substantiate sales potential to OE vehicle manufacturers (Toyota, Mercedes, Ford, etc) in Australia, Europe and the US, with a projected revenue potential in the 10's of millions (p.a). In 2 years our concept evolved into a product comprising over 500 bespoke components, designed and validated in-house, with a newly established and extensive supply chain network both here and abroad. Future proofing our brand, our flexible architecture will enable rapid expansion of both our product portfolio and manufacturing footprint globally. -
