My role was to provide the students with the appropriate skills in order to perform an ensemble piece of music. I worked closely with the individuals and found ability appropriate arrangements of songs for their chosen instrument and aided with the individual and group rehearsals. The group worked towards a short performance at a local theatre. Feedback from the performance highlighted how much the students enjoyed the opportunity to perform in front of their friends and family and inspired them to continue learning their chosen instruments. Parents, family members and teachers were impressed with the students instrument progression, confidence and professionalism.

This includes everything arranging the financial side of the business to aiding the students in choosing appropriate songs for performance. Part of my role includes setting up new projects and ensuring they become sustainable.

Within these sessions we look at a range of different skills, including both breathing/voice work and instrumental music. The aim throughout is to use music as a platform to develop the way we use our body and mind when singing, and transferring this into how we can develop skills for everyday living.

As Musical Director it is my role to control everything and anything the audience will hear during our performances. In addition to selecting and arranging the music for our termly shows, I also take responsibility for cueing the digital sound and lighting throughout our performances. In addition to this, I also coordinate choral rehearsals when we choose to perform a song live. I also provide live music and/or original composition when requested.
