Teachers were divided by level of English and then participated in English intensive classes for 7 hours a day every Sunday in the year round course.•Represented the English (TEFL) sector of Peace Corps in the Chinandega Regional meeting. Explained the program and future plans with the delegations of all the municipalities in Chinandega, including the departmental delegation.•Coordinated a week long intensive English camp for students participating in the U.S. Embassy funded program Access. Over 120 kids participated in the camp with 14 counselors.•Consulted on a public transportation project, led by the Somotillo mayor’s office•Gave culture lessons for the Access programs in Villanueva and Chinandega. Topics covered were Columbus Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
