About Aaron Cohn
I am a family therapist (PhD in Family Therapy, Saint Louis University School of Medicine) and author. My research interests include integrating third-wave behaviorism with systems theory, multicultural competency, LGBTQIA+ couples and families, and the systemic consequences of technology in families and family therapy. In my clinical work, I provide third-wave behavioral interventions from a systemic perspective. In addition, in 2016 I completed Basic EMDR training from an EMDRIA-approved consultant. My teaching interests include family intervention, social psychology, statistics, and multicultural counseling. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with experience providing comprehensive psychological assessments to children; cognitive and personality assessments to adults with developmental disabilities; behavioral assessment and treatment planning; and individual and group psychotherapy to children, families, and adults in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Populations treated include: children with ADHD, ASD, depression, anxiety, adjustment, and relational disorders; individuals with developmental disabilities; individuals with severe psychotic disorders; and sex offenders (adolescent and adult).
