About Aaron Serre

I am a current Master of Science student, studying Atmospheric Science at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). I received my Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University (FSU) in May of 2024. I have experience in operational, broadcast, and research meteorology.Over the past few years, I have worked extensively across the meteorology field. I have experience observing, analyzing, and forecasting with operational meteorologists from the National Weather Service offices in Tampa Bay and Birmingham. I was also a former Team Leader/Producer and student meteorologist on the FSU Weather show producing, leading, communicating, and forecasting weather to a general audience through YouTube and WFSU. I have observed and analyzed data on past research projects, one of which was presented at the 2019 National Weather Association (NWA) annual meeting and the other at the 2023 American Meteorological Society (AMS) annual meeting. Lastly, I was a former Secretary of the North Florida Chapter of the AMS and NWA. As Secretary, I collaborated closely with my board member colleagues to cultivate an environment of professionalism, achievement, and continuous development within our chapter and among its members.
