With a strong focus on operational excellence and execution, Mr. Shilts works close with the Optiv Board of Directors to translate long term strategy into customer success and tangible business results.

As Executive Vice President of Services, Aaron Shilts brings over 19 years of industry experience to his chief responsibility: preservation of FishNet Security's reputation as a leader in information security professional services. To achieve this goal, Shilts leads a nationwide team of consultants, educators, managed services professionals, project managers and other professionals providing strategic direction for each line of business and ensuring that FishNet Security services are well aligned with customers' needs. Mr. Shilts works directly with the Board of Directors on FishNet's corporate services strategy, M&A planning, budgeting, financial reporting and KPI's. Under his leadership, FishNet Security has built industry leading security offerings, recruited top talent and attained over 20% growth every year.

As FishNet Security's VP of Professional Services, Mr. Shilts focused on operations and growth of FishNet Security's professional services organization serving a global client base. Under his leadership, teams focused on pre-sales, scoping, delivery and industry thought leadership for the largest Information Security Integrator in the U.S. Shilts also led integration efforts through several acquisitions which bolstered FishNet Security's position as an industry leader.

As Consulting Director for FishNet Security, Mr. Shilts was responsible for consulting operations and delivery. In this role, his primary focus was building world class security consulting teams and offerings. Among other practices, Aaron was responsible for building FishNet Security's PCI and Application Security practices during this period.

As a Sr. Security Consultant, Shilts performed business development, delivered advisory services and helped build FishNet Security's services business in Minneapolis/St. Paul. In just one year, this market went from startup to a team with several consultants and meaningful professional services revenue.

Information Security consultant focused on information assurance, business process and technology architecture for global Fortune 500 organizations.

At eSecurity Consulting, Aaron ran a small consulting organization focused on domestic U.S. enterprise clients. Services included information security strategic direction, business process, program management and technology design/implementation.

At Sprint, Shilts performed scoping, design and implementation of Checkpoint and Raptor Firewall/VPN products for Sprint Managed Security Services customers. Mr. Shilts was also part of an internal corporate security team that worked with local, state and federal LEAs on lawfully enforced surveillance.

Led team of IT professionals with responsibility for a University data center that included Microsoft and Unix servers, Novell, networking gear and hundreds of workstations. Mr. Shilts also worked jointly with several professors delivering presentations and talks at the University and for private corporate customers including Fannie Mae.

Mr. Shilts led a team of developers that built the first large scale shareware system accessible via modem and custom-written BBS software. The "National Shareware Library" included over 100k shareware titles.
