• Developed production/prototype parts and assemblies, internal engineering tools (load cells and position sensor arrays), and related documentation (in-house how-to documents, ECOs, and engineering drawings with ANSI.
• Quickly produced prototype parts and assemblies using a combination of in-house and contract 3D printing, CNC machining, thermoforming, and laser cutting.
• Designed packaging for the Form 2 printer. Sourced and negotiated manufacturing near the printer contract manufacturer in Hungary for less than half of the projected packaging budget, saving Formlabs roughly $150k.
• Trained Formlabs employees on safe and effective use of machine shop equipment such as a CNC mill, band saw, laser cutter, and drill press.
• Resource for many Formlabs employees to find out where to get a certain tool/supply, how to build something, or for general mechanical design feedback.
• Represented Formlabs at trade shows to develop sales leads in verticals that I am familiar with (automotive, machinery, etc). Guiding potential customers into a sale by helping them to understand how an unfamiliar tool.

• Designed, built, and tested prototype multi-rotor autonomous UAVs for the commercial infrastructure inspection marketplace.
• Designed and fabricated instrumentation and sensor rigs to be tested both on a bench and on the vehicle.
• Developed simple assemblies, tooling, and manufacturing techniques so prototypes could be manufactured in-house on a tight budget and short timeline.
• Negotiated with suppliers to procure components for prototypes on a tight budget and timeline.

• Torque security calibration and validation for Pentastar V6 FWD and RWD, CNG Ram 2500, as well as legacy (3.7 and 4.7 liter) packages.
• Utilized ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer to calibrate/validate torque security algorithms and behavior.
• Used Stateflow and Simulink to debug software logic and communicate necessary software logic changes with the Chrysler software team.
• Organized calibration test trips to all available ambient conditions: hot, altitude, and cold.
• Maintained and prepared test vehicles in coordination with UAW technicians.

• Investigated the causes of repeated mechanical downtime on the heavy duty engine machine line and designed updated parts and assemblies to solve downtime issues, ensuring daily production quotas were met
• Investigated the root cause of common sources of mechanical downtime that caused lost revenue on the heavy duty engine machine line and designed repair parts/procedures that were used to mitigate failures, increase.
• Designed and implemented improvements to existing machine processes to decrease cycle time, increasing throughput.
• Collaborated with machine manufacturers to investigate failures caused by endemic design issues so that problem areas could be updated.
• Planned complex repair operations on the fly to get machines running quickly and scheduled maintenance/updates for scheduled downtime.
• Supervised United Auto Worker maintenance skilled trades staff to ensure they had all necessary resources and knowledge to complete a repair task quickly and effectively.

• Reorganized portions of the machine shop to ensure consistent and sustainable tool organization through the use of strategically placed small tool boxes at each available operation.
• Improved machine shop workflow through careful selection of available tools and modifications to shop layout.
• Monitor equipment use for unsafe behavior.
• Educate students on how to use all shop equipment (TIG, MIG, mill, lathe, saw, etc).
• Assist students with project design, fabrication, and management.

• Worked directly with team athletes Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Dungey, Michael Byrne, Mike Alessi, David Vuillemin, and Nico Izzi to gather data and feedback about motorcycle performance.
• Used observed performance (how did the motorcycle look over bumps, etc), and basic data instrumentation during test sessions to ensure test rider feedback was being correctly interpreted by race team staff.
• Designed intake and exhaust camshafts using knowledge obtained from networking with industry experts and located a vendor who could manufacture prototype camshafts quickly and on a limited budget.
• Developed a simple, novel method of reducing vibrations perceived as harshness by athletes riding motorcycles with aluminum chassis. Results were universally lauded by all team athletes as superb and confidence.
