• Responsible for strategic creation and management of all digital and traditional marketing activities across TCSG including workforce development, technical education, adult education, economic development, student affairs, secondary initiatives, and international departments, among others. • Collaborate with TCSG department staffs, as well as Technical College Directors Association, and Technical College Foundation Association to understand and assist in their marketing needs as well as identify marketing opportunities.• Serve as primary marketing liaison to communication staff at all 22 TCSG colleges and advise on their marketing needs. • Supervise graphic designer and direct graphic design process and personnel to ensure top product content and quality.• Work with Executive Director of Communications to identify and implement strategic marketing initiatives through all forms of marketing communications. • Manage six regional marketing summits with TCSG colleges, COX media, and Secondary Initiatives team to ensure success.• Manage COX media for digital marketing, video development, and other opportunities agreed upon by TCSG.• Create compelling copy and supervise graphic design for brochures, flyers, ads, and other promotional materials. • Assume responsibility for final proofreading of all marketing materials.• Fact-check and ensure timeliness and accuracy of all material before publication.• Ensure all relevant materials comply with ADA, EOE, GE, OCR and other legal requirements.• Seek strategic marketing opportunities for TCSG. • Develop and manage a digital photo library.• Assist with other Communications Department tasks and projects as needed.

Aaron Sones has been at West Georgia Technical College for nearly five years, where he served as Sports Information Director until his recent promotion to the position of External Affairs Coordinator for the College.While fulfilling the role of External Affairs Coordinator, he will also still serve as Sports Information Director and continue the branding and public relations efforts for Golden Knights athletics.In his role as External Affairs Coordinator, Sones will oversee communications and public relations for West Georgia Tech, while also managing college-related special events -- including the WGTC Foundation’s annual “Black Tie and Boots” fundraiser. He is the liaison between the college and the local communities that are within West Georgia Tech’s seven-county service area. Sones manages the school’s social media platforms and is working to create an overall branding strategy for the College, as well as for particular initiatives such as “Move on When Ready”, a statewide program which provides assistance for high school students who wish to dual-enroll at West Georgia Tech.As Sports Information Director for the past four years, Sones has helped improve the brand and awareness of the Golden Knights athletics department. In 2011, his first year on the job, he led the efforts to create a new state-of-the-art website through a partnership with sports website developer Sidearm Sports – located at www.WGTCAthletics.com.Sones handles the publicity for all four WGTC sports teams: men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball. He maintains the athletics website and leads social media efforts.
