Aaron Speyer is a Systems Engineer for Stellar Solutions, where he plays an integral role in supporting the NASA Human Landing System (HLS) Mission Systems Management office. In his role, Aaron helps ensure that the technical aspects of the program are consistent with contract and schedule requirements.Passionate about the Artemis mission and humanity's collective pursuit of a sustained presence in space, Aaron is dedicated to learning and sharing knowledge with future generations. As the Deep Space STEM Lead at Destination SPACE, he has collaborated with others to deliver educational material on space weather, introductory engineering topics, and data analytics. His teaching experience extends to roles as a STEM Educator at the Asheville Museum of Science and a Docent for UNCA's Lookout Observatory, where he helps inspire young minds and fosters a general, lasting curiosity in astronomy and space exploration.In addition to his professional achievements, Aaron is a student pilot, a certified PADI Divemaster and Aquanaut, and an incoming graduate student at the University of Southern California. A recent graduate of Western Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville, he holds a unique interdisciplinary background in astrophysics and business. His completion of the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS)'s AST 101: Fundamentals of Astronautics course marks a key step in his journey towards becoming an engineer and spacefarer. Aaron's relentless curiosity drives him to continuously expand his skills and knowledge, whether through flying, diving, or researching new advancements in science and engineering. Through his dedication to engineering, education, and collaboration, Aaron is helping to shape the future of space exploration and the dream of a future where humanity thrives beyond Earth.
