As secretary of the Rotary Club of Amherst South, the club implemented a streamlined application for communications. This system, called ClubRunner has provided the club with a web presence as well as assisted the members in staying up to date with club activities. This platform is the future of Rotary, and we anticipate that through our leadership in this area, our club will continue to strive in the future. In addition to streamlining our communications, our club is reaching out to the world through our connections with Rotary International. A perfect example of this is a recent fundraiser that our club held to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake. In few short weeks, the club coordinated a fundraiser to send badly needed financial assistance to the Albert Schweitzer hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Our club raised almost $16,000 for that beneficiary. We can be assured that money was directly disbursed to the hospital, because a sister club of ours was the designee for those funds.Rotary International is a phenomenal organization in this respect. The organization has done tremendous things with its 1.2 million members around the world. Rotary International has been working on the eradication of Polio for the last 25 years. They are nearly there with only 1,000 new cases reported each year.Finally, our club, the Rotary Club of Amherst South continues to have an impact on our local community as well through their efforts in funding several Amherst Youth Foundation projects. Responsible for the deployment of an enhanced real estate agent mentoring program for new and existing agents. Developed, in consultation with the CEO, a strategic marketing plan for use by agents in marketing homes for sale. Reduced company expenditure on real estate signs by 50% though an innovative agent ordering process. Automated website data entry for properties through the use of a third party software product.

Pledged to reduce Town energy consumption by 5% per year for five years through energy conservation measures.

During my term as president of the Eggertsville Community Organization, we have had a number of successes. Working with the Town of Amherst, members of our organization have worked tirelessly toward the opening of the Eggertsville Youth and Community Center in December 2008. Our group continues to focus on other quality of life issues as well through our efforts in keeping up with property code enforcement. We have been active in the revitalization of Eggertsville through the formation of the Main and Eggert Revitalization Committee. In addition, we have been actively involved in the Brownfield Opportunity Area Study Committee for the Sheridan Drive Commercial District.Heading into my second term as President, I look forward to growing the organization through our active involvement in the community. Also, I believe through our constant communication with the Town of Amherst and other entities within Eggertsville, we will continue to have successes in the next year.

Provided the professor with assistance in the form of running a business simulation game for students. Helped students in understanding how to run their businesses in the simulation, in terms of developing a strategy.

Became familiar with the implementation of SAP and suggested ways in which to improve certain repetitive tasks. Reduced the amount of time it took to tie out two reports by two-thirds through automation of the process.
