My field of specialty is personnel certification management.I am the Chief Operating Officer of the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and previously held the position of the Chief Operating Officer of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).Previous to my tenure at the ABOS, I was a Vice President FirstPoint, Inc. and the General Manager FirstPoint Management Resources (FPMR) where I had the opportunity to work with 30+ not-for-profit certification bodies, licensure board, associations, and professional societies whose operations were managed by FPMR.Through FirstPoint, Inc., I had had the opportunity to work with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), as the Executive Director of both organizations independently. CCI is a not-for-profit organization that administers credentialing examinations for professionals working in the specialty fields of cardiovascular technology; including cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and electrophysiology. The NBE is a not-for-profit organization which specializes in the certification of physicians who specialize in clinical echocardiography. The operations behind developing examinations and managing a certification programs has become a passion of mine.
