Programmer / Systems Analyst / DbaSchool District 27 Aug 2009 - Oct 2013A highlight and passionate focus during this portion of my professional and academic career was the development of a ground up production Data Warehouse based on a combination of the theories presented by Ross Kimball and Bill Inmon. The completed project, still in production today, covers the entire ETL process from raw data extraction/verification to the publication of administrative reports providing actionable knowledge. During the development process technologies were made flexible through software interfaces and web services; as such various PLs and DBMS were experimented with including Java/C# service back-ends using Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL -I also defined an extended CSV for use with a cached DB (my own high speed way of crunching millions of records quickly). During this time I also started using Model Driven Engineering theory to address change management tracking (traceability) and using meta data as both documentation and an artefact of design.
