Embarking on the over 16 year journey through the intricate labyrinth of Physical Security, I've worn many hats that have provided me with tremendous experience in this field.From my early days of Project Management, I was never afraid to get my hands dirty whether it be to create better methods to install/maintain, or to just save time and money by eliminating the need for a subcontractor in projects with less than 100 cameras - I could have them installed in 1 week. With doors, it depended on the complexity and scope but I've installed hundreds over time. Project Management was my role but I was also the Software Programming + Hardware Installation & Support + Troubleshooting + Field Technician for my area.To my days of Sales Engineering where I weaved the threads that included customer needs, the latest innovations, and the know-how to get there... something I've often referred to "fitting square pegs in round holes." This role came natural after many years of solving problems in Project Management (+everything else included).Later, I took on a Regional Sales Manager role where I consistently and grossly outperformed some very high expectations and was recognized every year for being a top performer in a worldwide company. Being promoted to a Business Development Manager for the Central US States was a great honor but ultimately did not work out for me as I'd hoped. For both business and personal reasons I stepped down and have since shared my experiences in the Physical Security Industry with other as a Technical Trainer.Fun Facts About Me:I wrote my first programs in BASIC on a Commodore 64 (yep, with a 5.25" floppy disk drive)I am a weekend warrior when it comes to home improvement projects. I'm almost certain I've got enough experience to build an entire house... my last house (which was also my first house) was a roughly 14 year "project" in which there was maybe only 5-10% of that house that I didn't physically touch (a few walls that I didn't knock down or rebuild/replace).I love spending time with my family and friends.I wish I was better at cooking meats on a smoker.
