Served as instructor in Disability and Human Development fields for graduate students, focusing on improving health of infants, children and adolescents with disabilities. Presented child welfare and foster care research. Recruited and mentored Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Fellows. Attended and presented research at Association of University Centers on Disability annual conferences. Key Accomplishments: • Traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate and education New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and New York Congresswoman Nita Lowey for the development of new legislation for children with special healthcare needs and their families.

I managed all Health IT project activities throughout the Institute resulting in the successful design, development and implementation of an EMR system at multiple practice sites ensuring better practice management and better health outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Gathered requirements for template modifications. Collaborated in the development of analysis tools including customized reports. Managed data collection at multiple sites. Created training schedules and materials and conducted training sessions. Generated status reports related to training process. Managed and supported “go-live” stage at multiple practice sites. Generated status and productivity reports for the EMR. Collaborated with the EMR vendor and WIHD technical staff to ensure system updates and maintenance.Key Accomplishments:• Managed the design and development of the Foster Care Medical Home project ensuring that the medical, educational, social, and psychological records of children in foster care in Westchester County are documented and shared amongst all professionals on the case. Children in foster care are routinely moved from one home or foster facility to another. The information of the care and services they received during their stays does not follow to each subsequent location resulting in further damage to the child. Through the Foster Care Medical Home project, I designed a centralized web-based solution to solve this problem. Successful delivery resulted in better and more comprehensive coordination of care for children. • Managed the design and development of the Early Intervention Service Coordination project to ensure that all artifacts associated with the service coordination efforts for children in the Westchester County E.I. program are captured and services are charged appropriately. Successful delivery resulted in an increase of billable hours.

Key Accomplishments:•Designed database for the maintenance of WIHD Medical Staff information. •Hosted University of Chicago Chapin Hall Center for Children web conferences. •Developed grant proposal for a pilot visitation program for families with children in foster care. •Designed, developed and implemented a successful database for Department of Social Services of Westchester County to ensure recommendations for children departing the foster care system were carried out, followed up with and evaluated. •Developed comprehensive disability resource handbook for parents of county school-aged children.
