Sessions involve equipping customers with the skills needed to job search effectively. Once these skills-based sessions have taken place, my role is to support customers with job applications, interview preparation and contacting employers.Community-based work is essential for this role, as it builds up relationships with local employers, making it a more accessible route for customers. My role is to highlight customer's key strengths and their suitability. Once a customer is successful, it is the responsibility of the work coach to provide in-work support to ensure customer is settled and thriving.Our project has strict KPIs relating to customer sign ups and customer outcomes. It is my responsibility to generate referrals for the project via multiple forms, such as connecting with local charities, support groups and organisations to highlight the support we offer at Good Work. Additionally, I attend the Job Centre on a weekly basis to maintain a strong relationship and offer advice to those attending the site in need of extra support.I play a big role in getting people onto the service through means of contact and reinforcing the support we offer. Each sign up follows strict compliance checks, which is explained to every customer (e.g. checking their right-to-work documents, national insurance and employment status). Each sign up requires an assessment to complete, similar to when exiting a customer from the service. Other duties include, efficient diary management and other administration duties.Finally, I help facilitate and also present employer workshops. Employer workshops allows our customers to speak face-to-face with employers. It also gives employers a chance to advertise their vacancies for free to a pool of people. Show less
