As Field Director for WorldTeach I interfaced with the Thai Ministry of Education, coordinated relationships between provincial schools and volunteers, and collaborated with Education Directors to deliver Skills Based Language Education to students in Nakhon Phanom Province.Program Development - By defining programmatic outcomes and establishing benchmarks I successfully met organizational directives, increased organizational reach and impact, and exceeded stakeholder expectations.

As a Strategic Planning Consultant to the Monterey Institute of International Studies' (MIIS) Immersive Professional Learning and Special Programs (IPLSP) division, I created a 3-5 year strategic plan. The development of the IPLSP Strategic Plan occurred over multiple workshops and focus group sessions that incorporated mission, vision, goals, strategic issues, and finally a list and summarization of recommendations.Facilitator•Facilitated 5 focus groups with 8 staff and 6 stakeholders to extract division processes, workflows, and methodologies. •Led 4 two-hour workshops to pull out division inefficiencies, created mission and vision, identified strategic areas of concern, and assisted in molding the implementation process. •Conducted 1-hour interview sessions with the Institute’s president, 12 of the Institutes upper management and all of the division’s faculty and support staff. Collected over 20 hours of qualitative data. Analyst•Dedicated 100+ hours to the analysis and disambiguation of interviews, focus group results, and workshop outputs. •Wrote a 63-page report on the findings, in-depth analysis of the issues, and a long and short list of recommendations. •Assisted in the development of the implementation process to begin the Summer of 2013.

•Assisted in the development and management of budgets using appropriate tools, indices, and metrics to measure their performance. As a result, the Peace Resource Center was able to reduce expenses paid to outside vendors and allocate more money into programmatic activities. •Researched and wrote proposals to support programmatic and organizational financial needs as outlined by the budget. Recently, I collaborated with two other individuals on the development of a $20,000 grant that is still being reviewed.

•Acted as liaison and point of contact between three MIIS language programs (Intensive Custom Language Programs, English as a Second Language, and the Summer Intensive Language Program). My primary responsibility was to ensure coordination and communication between the programs. Thereby, reducing programmatic redundancies and overlapping resources.•Facilitated workshops that incorporated all faculty across all programs. The goals of the workshops were to encourage the sharing of information, learning, and resources. These workshops were where some of the most salient and non-traditional solutions were found to solve chronic problems.•Led midterm and final evaluation process of program participants. As a result of unsiloing the three programs, there was 22% increase in positive feedback and 18% growth.

•Selected as a representative of the Monterey Institute to act as the program director. Where I led the team that designed and implemented the primary school curriculum for the Marshall Island’s Ministry of Education.•Managed, directed, and facilitated the interaction of my team with the World Teach team on the ground. From this experience I gained a deeper understanding of how important it is to maintain communication between teams throughout the project.•I assisted in the creation of a comprehensive teaching manual that outline select tools and tasks that can be used in the language education classroom. In addition, my team created a website featuring teaching tools that can be used offline in remote parts of the world. Also found on the site is a forum for sharing knowledge and experiences pertinent to language teaching; thus, promoting shared learning and experiences among faculty and staff.

Military Police Officer-Wright Patterson Air Force Base•Participated on a joint task force team and cross-trained as a Military Police Officer to carry out the following: flight line security; perimeter security; and the protection of high priority personnel and sensitive assets worth billions of dollars. Led a squad of 11 troops, with 10,000+ hours of supervising diverse, highly-skilled professionals. Relief Officer-New Orleans•Secured 1,000+ displaced individuals, and ensured adequate short-term housing. Worked as Assistant Project Manager, successfully overseeing supply chain through consistent communication between logistics officers and daily inventory checks. Applied parametric modeling to devise more efficient distribution plan, doubled beneficiaries from 200± to 500± per day.

My responsibility for the claims department was to maintain a steady flow of bills in and out of the office, and maximizing turn-around efficiency. I allowed this department to move from a 10-12 day turn around to a 1-3 day turn-around. I not only allowed for the department to run smoother and more efficiently, I also allowed for a greater quality control rating.

I worked at Galehouse Construction Company while in high school. I manufactured and installed the cabinets that are seen in many of the homes that were built by the Galehouse Construction Company.
