My position was to train our Field Specialists to QC Apeel treated produce. Over the course of my first year at Apeel, I helped build an award-winning Field Operations Training Program (CLO Bronze award for Business Partnership). In building this program we were able to:• Formalize SOPs globally that had diverted with rapid expansion and word of mouth training• Build site-specific learning plans through our dedicated LMS that included SOPs and videos • Train the trainers – we had a dedicated team of 8 traveling trainers that were in sync with each other and best practices• Disseminate information about upcoming changes from R&D soon to be implemented in the field.• Create lasting relationships with our field team members, bridging the gap between corporate and field staff. Through this work I discovered a flaw in the way we were managing our SOPs in our LMS, that put us at high risk of compliance failures and incomplete employee training. I found, proposed, and implemented a new process that not only eliminated the risk of compliance failure but magnifies the work of a few and will save thousands of hours of document, safety, and training management.This summer I managed the Intern Program at Apeel. I coordinated their onboarding experience, 19 personal and professional development events and a symposium that showcased their work to Apeel. 100% of the interns reported they had a “Great” or “Excellent” experience with the intern program at Apeel.Leadership development is one of the core principles of our L&D team at Apeel. I have delivered dozens of Crucial Conversations, Change Management and Giant Leadership tools classes both in person and virtually. Last but not least, I am responsible for scheduling biweekly New Hire Orientation which includes coordinating with 10+ virtual presenters, presenting multiple sessions myself, assigning compliance and NHO learning paths in our LMS and generally helping troubleshoot day 1-3 issues.
