I have 15 years' experience work with corporates and investors in the TMT sector globally. I spent a number of years working at mobile operator O2 and also at Telefonica's digital division. I have a deep understanding of the telecoms and broader technology sectors and have experience advising across fibre, wireless, cable, broadband/internet, ICT, satellite, Wi-Fi, network equipment, devices, mobile towers and data centres. My experience means I am well placed to help clients seize the digital opportunity. My practice is global, recently working with clients in the UK, Australia, Japan, the US, Africa and Latin America. My experience of telecoms regulation covers the EU and the UK, together with a diverse range of developing economies. I recently led teams advising Orange Group, one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators, on its €350 million acquisition of Basefarm Holding AS - a leading European player in cloud-based infrastructure and services, as well as the management of critical applications and data analysis - from private equity investment firm Abry Partners II, LLC; and VEON on its US$1bn project with Ericsson for the digital transformation of its IT business support systems in multiple jurisdictions. I was the Head of Business Affairs at Telefónica Digital, the global digital services and innovation division of Telefónica. In this role I had overall responsibility for the provision of legal advice to the innovation, new business and communications products business areas. Some of my responsibilities included:• recruiting, training and providing leadership to the Telefónica Digital legal team• leading and managing a team of six direct reports located in London, Ireland, Spain and Brazil, including mentoring and providing career development advice, and acting as a point of escalation on legal and regulatory issues• successfully collaborating on strategic company-wide projects with team members from Europe, the US and Latin America, often working on a number of such projects simultaneously• building trusted and influential relationships with the Board, CEO, CFO and other senior executives, advising them on corporate governance, compliance, M&A, restructuring, change and process management and government relations.Some examples of my experience included advising on:• the development and launch of Telefónica’s proprietary communications products and services• Telefónica’s global partnerships with Amazon, Google and Facebook, for the aggregation and distribution of their digital products and services• the creation of the 'Wanda' joint venture with MasterCard to develop mobile financial solutions in in Latin America• a project involving team members from Telefónica, CaixaBank and Santander on a cross-border financial services and mobile advertising joint venture• Telefónica’s cross-border acquisition and integration of Tokbox, a U.S. video technology start up• the creation of Telefónica’s corporate startup accelerator program in a number of European jurisdictions, and all of Telefónica’s corporate venture capital investments in early stage technology startup companies in the U.S., the UK and Israel• Telefónica's divestment of O2 Ireland to Hutchison

A new 50/50 joint venture company was created through the consolidation of both Telefónica UK and Vodafone UK’s existing network infrastructure, including towers and masts, which was transferred to the joint venture or decommissioned over time• agreements with Ericsson and Nokia Networks for the roll-out of Telefónica UK's mobile networks• the outsourcing of Telefónica UK's network operational support services to Ericsson• Telefónica UK's successful participation in the UK 4G wireless spectrum auction• Telefónica UK’s proposed sale of its broadband and fixed-line telephony business, and of Be Limited, Telefónica UK's specialist broadband provider• pre-litigation settlement on behalf of the Telefónica Group with RIM relating to a global network service outage
