As the Director of Applied Technology at South Piedmont Community College, I leverage my extensive welding and fabrication background, as well as my AWS certifications as a Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Welding Educator, to teach a variety of welding and welding related courses. I also conduct state weld tests, contract training and oversee the welding lab operations and safety.My mission is to share my knowledge and passion for welding with the next generation of skilled trades professionals, and to help them develop the competencies and confidence they need to succeed in the industry. I also stay active in the welding community by serving on the SkillsUSA National Technical Committee, the AWS national conference committee, Project MFG's National Welding League as a judge, and volunteering as a welding instructor for Learn, Build, Fly.
