This position directly supervised all production and production support operations, and drove SQDCI (Jeld Wen's Excellence Model), TPS (Toyota Production System), OTD (On-Time Delivery) and CI (Continuous Improvement) activities and initiatives during the process.Provided direct leadership to some “Lead” employees and their subordinates in their assigned areas of production in support of plant operations, goals and objectives.Proactively and regularly developed and managed team member’s performance and capabilities, based upon company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).Assisted the Plant Manager and Production Manager in establishing and monitoring overall plant performance for production and quality control standards. As General Manager, I was responsible for the daily operations of the company. This included scheduling production, quoting new jobs, seeking new business, and implementing ISO 9001 for the business.In addition to production oversight, I supervised 10-20 employees and managed all personnel matters, including hiring and disciplinary actions.Successfully bid new jobs and received new contracts in excess of $100,000.00 for FY 16. Reduced costs by sourcing new suppliers and by implementing lean manufacturing principles.

Worked with community organizations for long term recovery efforts from the damaged caused by Tropical Storm Irene. Worked with state agencies on reducing recidivism and poverty.
