With expertise across multiple disciplines, I am a Senior Lawyer at Slaughter and May. I advise companies, governments, and international organisations on complex legal and strategic issues at the interface of the sustainability, climate change, energy transition, infrastructure, and natural resource sectors. My work includes advising on projects, transactions, regulatory, and cross-border trade issues relating to emissions trading schemes (UK ETS and EU ETS), carbon border adjustment mechanisms (CBAMs), voluntary carbon markets (VCMs), and the Paris Agreement’s Article 6 mechanisms, as well as the hydrogen, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), sustainable transport, nuclear, renewable energy, and energy storage sectors. I also participate in various government and industry working groups.I am passionate about advancing the understanding and practice of international law and governance, especially in relation to the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development. I have published widely in academic journals and books, and have taught and lectured in leading universities in the UK and Australia. I have a PhD in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master of Laws with Distinction from the University of Melbourne.
