As the Senior Director of Finance in the Banner Health Ambulatory Division, I am responsible for all financials across AZ and CO for Banner Imaging Services, Banner Air Service (Helicopter Medical Transport), Banner Telehealth Services and Banner Sleep Services. Within the division and all sites, my team and I oversee the fiscal budgets, capital planning, mergers and acquisitions, Provider and Non-Provider compensation, revenue cycle, expense management and long range strategic financial plans.

As the Finance Director in the Banner Health Ambulatory Division, I am responsible for all financials across AZ and CO for Banner Urgent Care (46 sites), Banner Occupational Health (18 sites), Banner Employer Services and Sleep Medicine (7 sites). Within the division and all sites, my team and I oversee the fiscal budgets, capital planning, mergers and acquisitions, Provider and Non-Provider compensation, revenue cycle, expense management and long range strategic financial plans.

Responsible for four hospital sites within Banner Health: Banner Boswell Medical Center, Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, Banner Estrella Medical Center and Banner Behavioral Health Scottsdale. All three medical centers were medium sized facilities with 350+ beds each. At every site I was responsible for the capital planning process ($1M+ projects), tracking and evaluating growth and performance, and identifying market opportunities through trends and studies. Often I would develop complex demand models to demonstrate needs and to assess risks from both a growth and capacity perspective. It was my ultimate responsibility to create and drive the overall strategic objectives for each hospital and offer recommendations and guidance as the strategy is executed.

Provides analytical support for the financial positioning and future growth for Banner Del Webb Medical Center (375 licensed beds - MedSurg Acute, Acute Rehab and Behavioral Health). By serving as a business unit CFO, I initiate and assist in the identification and implementation of operating improvements and efficiencies through the use of data trends and variance analysis. I develop, analyze, and prepare strategic financial plans and reviews current operating results ensuring that the hospital is on target to achieve strategic goals and objectives. I support the facility by providing high level financial expertise through analysis and interpretation of data gathered for decision support. I have experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired financial outcomes and hospital operations (length of stay, throughput, etc.). I regularly build financial proformas for capital acquisitions and program development as well as assists in preparation and development of business plans. I lead the development of annual operating budgets, program reporting and analysis, charge management, revenue integrity, cost accounting, decision support, and reimbursement analysis.

Responsible for gathering data from various sources to document and analyze statistics and financial information necessary to complete projects. I generate monthly or bi-weekly financial reports or ad hoc reports that enable management to control and analyze departmental and hospital operations. I also work with management and staff of various departments to assist with financial data gathering and/or interpretation. I maintain integrity of statistical files and databases used for financial reporting. Additionally, I work collaboratively with other analysts to manage key financial processes within the organization (including operating budgets, forecasts program reporting and analysis, charge management, cost accounting, decision support and reimbursement analysis).

Directly responsible for the environmental cleanliness of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (550+ licensed beds, approximately 960,000 sq. ft.) using 130 employees with 6 Supervisors in a 24/7 environment. Environmental Services encompasses the management of facility trash, linen, floor care (terrazzo, linoleum, carpet, concrete, and NORA flooring) and cleanliness of patient care areas, corridors, invasive and non-invasive procedural areas and support departments.

Manage staff of 70 plus direct reports including Supervisors and front-line staff in a 24/7 environment at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (550+ licensed beds). All employees have direct responsibility for the patient safety and welfare involving transportation of patients within the hospital and external sites, dispatching of transportation activities, and coordination of facility throughput.

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Glendale, AZ (500+ bed facility) - Responsibilities include managing 70+ direct reports which service both internal and external customers throughout the hospital by wheelchair, gurney, or bed and the greater Glendale, AZ area by courtesy shuttle.

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Glendale, AZ (500+ bed facility) - Responsibilities include managing the Premise application, 130 employee schedules and timecards, 10 Transport Dispatchers under shared leadership, licensure and certification for 3000+ employees, multi-million dollar accounts, and departmental budget/financials.

Responsibilities include staffing all in-patient departments, contractual clinician payroll, scheduling, reporting for Banner Estrella Medical Center's Leadership Team and patient placement throughout 172 bed facility.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing research data to evaluate existing and potential product markets while identifying and monitoring the competition for market changes that may affect company sales.
