Public servant with about 20 years of experience, and a deep passion for developing the leadership potential of organizations and individuals. Currently, I have the privilege of heading the induction training program for newly recruited officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes). I also look after NACIN’s international cooperation and capacity building programs.With a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, my journey has included roles at the various offices of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Ministry of Finance, including being India's attaché to the World Customs Organization (WCO) at Brussels.My experience extends to driving policy change and effective customs management. As Commissioner of Customs (preventive) in Lucknow, I managed a vast territory covering the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, including over 800 kms of the Indo-Nepal border, overseeing multiple Inland Container Depots, Land Customs Stations, and International Airports.Passionate about fostering leadership, I also facilitate WCO leadership and management development retreats and workshops for customs authorities of various WCO member countries, and as Deputy Secretary (State Taxes), I played a key role in the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).My expertise lies in leadership development, customs and indirect tax policy, implementation and enforcement, and I thrive on challenges and meaningful projects.
