Hi, I'm Aarush Bhat, a full-time university student and an over-time learner who is fascinated by the world of science and technology. πAs a self-taught programmer, I have experience in developing software and web applications for ~7 years using various languages and frameworks, such as Python (expert-level), C/C++/C# (intermediate-level), Java/Rust (beginner-level), web stacks (Flask/Django/FastAPI, HTML/CSS/JS), and AI/ML (NLTK, TensorFlow, PyTorch). π§βπ»I'm also passionate about accessibility advocacy and consultation, digital content creation, and creativity and innovation. π¨I believe in taking risks and getting out of my comfort zone to learn and grow and challenge myself. I was one of the first fully blind students to take on high-level STEM subjects throughout high school, completely with the help of a computer and screen reader, without relying on a scribe or alternate methods. And now, I'm pursuing a highly STEM-oriented field of software engineering, fully with a computer as well. π»I have demonstrated my knowledge and skills through several projects and internships with well-known companies, such as STEM accessibility consulting with Vedantu, and Web/app development intern with Talerang. πI have completed certifications from several popular MOOC websites, such as edX, Coursera, etc. I'm a firm believer in open source and a frequent contributor on GitHub and similar platforms. πI enjoy working on independent ideas and helping out whenever possible, so I'm open to any freelancing/contract opportunities. πI'm a big practitioner of accessibility and inclusivity, particularly through the hands of technology for all. I intend to leverage my skills, interests, and expertise towards spreading knowledge, awareness, and creating avenues to enable people to be more independent and empowered.
