Aarushi Gupta Email and Phone Number
Hi! I’m Aarushi Gupta – a research student at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower at UHN, and an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Life Sciences at the University of Toronto. Above all, an inquisitive individual with a toolbox of ideas. Currently, I work as a research assistant at Dr. Robert Vanner’s lab at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Here I am studying the role of clonal hematopoiesis mutations in the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) into mature blood cells, such as macrophages. As an aspiring scientist, I enjoy environments that foster curiosity and provide a space to assess diverse ideas. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about science communication and enjoy presenting my research to general audiences and experts at research events. I have worked with organizations that aim to make science accessible to school-age students and I strive to increase the involvement of female-identifying students in STEM. My experiences have allowed me to hone skills such as oral and written communication, critical thinking, planning and organizing, mentorship, resourcefulness and adaptability – to name a few. In my free time, I work on my vocal and musical training and upload covers of popular songs to YouTube (ask me for the link!). I enjoy listening to pop, alternative, Bollywood and French songs and I am actively working on writing my own songs and EPs.
