Creating and developing the Product Design practice in the Digital. This role was created as part of the digital transformation and switch to a product focused operating model. Initially this role was purely focused on growing the team into a department that could deliver out quality product designs for 6 product verticals in retail banking, commercial banking, and wealth management.After growing to 7 designers, we worked to establish best practices in design research, user testing, flow development, interaction design, accessibility, and product strategy. As the Design Manager I sat on the Product Strategy Group which was also comprised of the Product Management Manager, Go-to-market Manager, and representation from Engineering. In this capacity we were tasked with thinking near future strategy and planning future investment into all areas of digital experiences for the collective membership and employee stakeholders.

Over the space of 4 years I was involved in the creation of the first product team, delivering incremental value in sprint format and establishing the Product Management process at the Credit Union.
